Currie, MN: Museum/C&NW/Omaha Road Depot, Turntable and 3 Wood Grain Elevators

Omaha Road was the nickname for the Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis & Omaha, which was bought by C&NW.

Here's a photo of Currie, Minnesota taken about 1910 so the reverse of the photo says.  Currie is a small now non rail village located in far southwest Minnesota just to the northeast of Slayton, Minnesota. Look at all those "prairie cathedrals."

This is now part of the End-O-Line Railroad Park and Museum ( https://endoline.com/about-us/ ) and was a Chicago & Northwestern depot.

There was never a roundhouse here, just the turntable. Because it was the end of the line, the locomotives had to be turned.
