The B&O also had a good-sized depot in this town.

Pennsy's Panhandle route joined the east/west B&O route and had trackage rights west to Columbus. [Steven Myers comment on a post]
B&O also had a north/south route through this town. And the NYC/Toledo & Ohio central passed by the town on the west side. All of these routes, except B&O to the South, are now owned by The Columbus & Ohio River Railroad (CUOH). According to my 2005 SPV Map, the route to the south was the Buckeye Scenic Railroad (BCS), which was a tourist railroad.
In 2007, the BCS lease was not renewed in favor of a bike trail. [rypn]
Looking at a satellite map, the trail never happened. Fortunately, another tourist line, Mt. Perry Scenic Train - Zanesville & Western, got some of their equipment. [wd8rif]
