Kinderhook, IL: Baylis, IL: Pleasant Hill, IL: Nebo, IL: Pearl, IL: Depots

Kinderhook: (Satellite, it had a house track on the north side.)
Baylis: (Satellite, it was between Railroad Street and the tracks just east of Locust Street.)

These towns are all in Pike County, IL. So is Barry and Hull.

 I don't know the MP numbers on this line, but it was looking east. The depot was a little east of the foot of Jackson Street. And, as the boxcar confirms in the photo, there was a house track behind the depot. https://towns-and-nature.blogspot.com/.../kinderhook-il...

This town has fertilizer supply, but no grain storage. I note that I can't find a grain elevator in the 1939 aerial.

This is another town that Wabash bypassed in order to improve the grade of their route. (Barry was another.)

 The original Wabash route paralleled Railroad Street through town.

This town has both grain storage and fertilizer supply.

The wood grain elevator was replaced by some jump form silo,s and a couple of steel bin complexes further south provided more expansion. Note the fertilizer storage tanks on the right.

Pleasant Hill Depot 1913.. the second story was later removed
