Andre Wehrle: That boxcar in the background adjacent to the MR caboose is apparently the last Soo Line "potato car" in existence, and per this album I just found on Flickr, was being repainted as of last fall: https://www.flickr.com/.../1174.../53238171159/in/datetaken/
Mike Kirk: We were rebuilding the baggage cart wheels when this picture was taken. It is done now. I see you found my Flickr page. Stop by and I will show you the inside of the caboose as well as the depot.
Mike Kirk, Waupaca Historical Society depot manager.
The caboose used to belong to James Taylor. He was a member of the Milwaukee Road Historical Association. He attended many of the conventions. There is a whole row of convention mugs inside the caboose. When his health was failing he wanted to see the caboose go to a good home so he gave it to us including the cost of moving it. He passed away a few years ago.

The caboose in the right background caught my eye. Mike Kirk explained in a comment on the base post:

There is more information in the comments since Facebook won't let me put links in the description.

Many preserved depots gut the interior to make room for an event space. But this one preserved at least the agent's desk.
