Alex Suzzi posted four photos with the comment: "If anyone is in the Boston area, I highly recommend stopping in at the Boston Waterworks Museum. Incredible steam fired pumping station (decommissioned) now a free museum. Very well preserved and lots of information boards throughout."
Alex Suzzi: The Chestnut Hill site in my photos has the specific distinction of being the first pumping station for the Boston area water supply. There are 3 different massive pumps on display.
Adam Mozzer: Absolutely worth a visit, so much history in this place. national standards for public drinking water were developed in this facility.
