Wilmington, IL: 1869 Lost/GM&O/Chicago & Alton Depot

(Satellite, the second track was built over the depot's land.)

When I do one more click to the North, I get a new view that does not have the depot.

Kenneth Luzbetak posted four photos with the comment: "Wilmington, ILL Depot,  Chicago & Alton/GM&O.  Torn down due to track upgrades. My photos, 2011."
Everett Lueck: The foundation was limestone from the quarries at Pontiac, same as the Bloomington shops. That dates the station to the very early part of the Chicago and Alton.
Robert Fiedler: Everett Lueck I believe the depot was constructed in 1869.
Richard Fiedler: When the Alton was bought by the B&O the papers were signed in this depot.
[This was wiped out for a second track as part of the high-speed upgrade.]

"On February 7&8, 2012, one of the oldest depots in Illinois was torn down. This is to make room for a high speed rail line.  The depot was built for the Chicago & Alton in 1868."
