This Nickel Plate route was originally owned by the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad (W&LE), and it is now owned by the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway (WE).
I found this depot while I was looking on a satellite map for a
B&O Bridge.
It has the expected bay window for the agent's desk. The overpass in the background is CSX/B&O.
Recently, they did a lot of work to restore the depot.

LodiRailroadMuseum The W&LE depot was built in 1882 and expanded in 1904 and then again in 1909. |

LodiRailroadMuseum The depot shrunk in 1977 when a crossing accident shoved a propane truck into the west end of the building. N&W was still using the building as a MoW facility, so they removed the damaged portion and built a new wall. In May 1990, NS sold much of the old W&LE, and some other routes, to form the new W&LE. The new W&LE donated the depot to a non-profit in 2008. |
