Robert Wanner posted Reading Company, Rutherford, Pa. service area occupied by a K Class steam locomotive, two short, weighted snow plows and a snow flanger, all in the ready. Must be a cold weather month. Huge coaling facility with at least 6 service ports. Reading Company photo or unknown. Dennis DeBruler shared I think this might be the largest coaling tower that I have seen. The engine servicing facility is now part of an intermodal yard, https://maps.app.goo.gl/3MQ5cbQCGDQfFR6W7. A comment on another share says that the gantry crane is part of the ash pit operation. |

I think the coaling tower is the white vertical rectangle near the lower-left corner. In addition to the roundhouse, there is another turntable a little further east.

Bill Rettberg Jr. posted looking at Rutherford yard's east hump. Ron Martin: As seen from the 63rd Street Bridge. Ahhhh, yes... Spent many an hour there dreaming about my future career. |

When I dropped a pin for the tower's location, Google Maps showed this photo. It sure looks like it is a depot. But I could not find its location on a satellite map.
