I think of Liebherr as a German company that makes

shared an announcement that they are expanding
their facility in Newport News, VA.
We sell axles and transmissions to Liebherr. One of the interesting things is that they have had a long term supply agreement with John Deere, where they make compact wheel loaders,

They not only make construction and mining equipment, they make it in the USA.

Google Maps not only labels Construction and Mining locations, it labels a vacant lot as Cranes. My first thought was that the expansion was going to include some sort of final assembly building for cranes to avoid tariffs. But my second thought is that this is a test facility to ensure that the imported cranes did not get damaged in transit.
