Yard: (Satellite, the land is now a bus garage.)
This tower controls the connection of the Brilliant Branch to the Mainline. The bgranch allowed freight trains to go aground Pittsburgh instead of through the downtown. [psu]

Conrails ( Ex-PRR)"CM" towerPittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Joe Cearfoss: We used to turn the westbound Amtrak there and it would then back up all the way to the station for the next day's trip east. Don't know if they still do it that way. Also there was talk recently of making the Brilliant branch rails to trails.
Ron Mele: I think the train is still turned there and the wye will remain even after the Brilliant Branch becomes a trail.
Ward Jeffery: this would be near Dallas & Hamilton Ave. The small yard to the left is Dallas yard.
