The above elevator is west of Main Street. This elevator is on the east side.

The elevators get rail service because this Milwaukee route is now owned by the Twin Cities & Western Railroad (TC&W) .
I looked at other views of the north side of the west elevator to see how many of them had tank cars. Every view since 2014 had tank cars. And they are delivering them to Agri Trading Fats and Oils. I also discovered that they recently rebuilt the receiving facility so that they could unload tank cars indoors.

Lafayette, IN: Red Crown Mini-Museum (Standard Oil)

(Satellite)

Street View, Mar 2026

Paul Robinson commented on a post:
In the late 1980s, my boss renovated a similar STANDARD station in Lafayette, Indiana. [Similar to the Standard Station in Vienna, IL.] It has been featured here before, I think. The station became THE RED CROWN MINI MUSEUM. It featured my boss's collection of STANDARD OIL memorabilia and antique automobiles. The museum closed after his death, but the building still stands and is used by the local public library that owns the property today.

RoadsideAmerica
"The Red Crown Mini-Museum is a 1930s-era Standard Oil filling station that was restored in 1991 and turned into a "walk-by" museum by local businessman Don Stein. It features a couple of restored antique cars in the auto bays, a 1931 Ford Model B wrecker in the parking lot, and miscellaneous gas-station memorabilia inside."
"The original building was constructed in 1927-28 by Standard Oil Company of Indiana. The Red Crown was threatened with destruction in the 1980s. In 1991, Stein restored the building at no cost to the public. A chronological history of the Red Crown Mini-Museum notes that over 1,000 man hours were spent hand-removing 41 layers of paint from the inside glazed brick walls. The 'fallen roof was removed and replaced with red tile imported from Chillicothe, Ohio, where it had been in storage by Standard Oil for over 50 years.'"

Craig Richardson posted four photos with the comment: "Southampton Pa. the line is now a trail. This last saw passengers in the early 80’s. Would love to see this restored."
[Some of the comments explain that the restoration has failed so far because of bad leadership.]

At first, I could not find the wood elevator because it is west of town. In the town is a big storage grain elevator.

Vienna, IL: Forman Depot Tourism Center and Old Standard Gas Station

Museum: (Satellite, in March, 2016 it was not a diner, it was a visitor center)
Gas Station: (Satellite)

I don't know where this building came from, but it is not the town's Big Four Depot.

20160404 2036

The building's display implies that this was a depot at the junction of two railroads. But this topo map shows that the only railroad in the area was east of here. The real depot for this town was the Big Four Depot.

Since I visited in 2016, they called the town the Bicycling Capital of Illinois, Home of the Big Bike.
Someplace I saw "the hundred mile race on the Tunnel Hill Trail," but now I can't find that information. So I Googled it.
It seems to be running instead of biking. The races in 2026 are on Nov 14. [RunSummitLine]

It is good that it still exists because I would have guessed it was next to 4th Street instead of 3rd Street.

Higgins, VA: Diggs Filler UP/Tidewater Oil/Esso

(Satellite)

Street View, Aug 2016

There Are Places - the Photography of Michael Wade posted two photos with the comment:
Diggs Filler Up station - formerly Tidewater Oil Company / Esso station. The station was restored by Bobby Diggs and is like an indoor and outdoor museum, and features vintage Esso and Standard Oil gas pumps. It's design is a "house and canopy" architectural style, which was very popular with the early filling stations. Note that - filling station, not gas station. That's because "these early roadside stops literally "filled" multiple fluid reservoirs and containers, rather than just pumping gasoline into a car’s built-in fuel tank."
"Early automobiles were mechanically unreliable and consumed fluids at a high rate. When a driver pulled into a station, the attendant didn't just provide fuel; their primary job was to fill up all the vital liquids required to keep the vehicle running. This included:
Motor Oil: Early engines burned through oil rapidly and needed constant topping off.
Water: Early cooling systems frequently boiled over, requiring attendants to fill the radiator.
Kerosene: Used to fill the vehicle's side lamps and tail lamps before electric lighting became standard."
