It was torn down recently, because a 2013 street view has it, but a 2015 street view does not have it. (Update: per Mark's comment below it was moved instead of torn down.)

Rodney D Zona Nice shot!! Old GTW RR conductors and head brakemen, based in Port Huron, worked to and from Chicago. Battle Creek based tail end brakemen worked Battle Creek-Port Huron-Chicago-Battle Creek. Battle Creek enginemen worked to and from Chicago. All on that passenger train above. Also, correction, Montreal-Chicago, not Montreal-Detroit.

John Grose: Great shot. I used to be fascinated by the little shanty on the column. Anyone know it's proper name and purpose.
Karl M Andrews: I am willing to bet it was the crossing gate operator's shack. It was elevated to get a better view of any traffic approaching and that station was on a curve also, so the gatekeeper would get a good view of approaching trains.

The depot was standing in Sep 2013, but not in May 2015.

Dennis DeBruler The Depot was moved about a block West of the original location on the North Side of the Tracks. It is being used by the local vocational school and being restored.

Thanks for the update. I'm glad to learn that it is being preserved.

Last Steam Locomotive to operate thru Northwest Indiana on the Grand Trunk Western's roster before retirement. Seen here at Valparaiso at the Calumet Road water plug in 1960 on it's way to Michigan for final disposition.
Second photo is at the same water plug in 1914.

The street along the right-hand side of the 1952 aerial photo is Napoleon Street.
