Chicago Northwestern type 2 in Mercer, WI. Built 1906, restored 1984 by volunteers belonging to Mercer Area Historical Society. I was part of the restoration team at age 22. Made some enormous memories.

When I saw the SOO caboose, I checked to see if there was a second railroad in this town. There were two railroad routes in this town, but they were both C&NW.

I found this photo of this tower that is located in Bricker, OH. I cannot find another photo that looks like this one, does anyone know of a location that their would be? Not my photo. Walthers is coming out with this model.
David L White: Bricker Tower was a PRR tower located near Dresden, Ohio, on the main line that ran from Columbus to Pittsburgh.

Bob Summers: Appears to be “studded”, not “cribbed” wood construction.

The town has another elevator a block east of the old one.

The UP branch that heads northwest on the west side of town is now Kyle Railroad. The Kansas & Oklahoma Railroad has trackage rights on the UP. And the Santa Fe and Rock Island used to have tracks that paralleled the UP through town.

Cindy Bowers: Thomas C. Ayers That is my late husband. When Nelson retired from Conrail in 1990 he decided Mifflintown (right across the Juniata River from Mifflin) was where we would make a new home. He loved the Middle Division.

Chuck Killian: This is the CNJ engine terminal in Bethlehem, PA. There are several Reading T1’s visible, but no diesel power. The 4-8-4’s were built in 1945 and CNJ started buying road diesels in 1948, so the photo dates between those years.
