Andrews, IN: Wood Grain Elevator and Depot

A grain elevator is no big deal in the Midwest, but the lumber mill is interesting.

I wonder where the Wabash and Erie Canal came through this area. The oldest topo map that I could find was 1950, and that is not old enough.

There are only three squares that are parallel to the tracks. I'm going with the one that is a half-block east of Main Street. It is consistent with the photo.
