Almost the same spot but earlier in time. The switch stand is still a kerosene lamp.

You can still see the treelines and land scars.
This is another town in Illinois where the grain elevator is is bigger than the town.

This is another town in Illinois where the grain elevator may have more bins than there are houses in the town. The abandoned railroad was the Illinois, Iowa & Minnesota, and then the Chicago, Milwaukee & Gary and then the Milwaukee Road. |
Thanks for posting! I live in will County and have never heard of Andres, Il until I noticed someone on my Ancestry was born there! Very good to keep learning the history of Will County !
