Carlock, IL: Depot and Old grain elevator still being used

On a very soggy Sunday afternoon, May 17, 2020, Norfolk Southern 911 leads a Bloomington IL bound train by the grain elevator in Carlock, Illinois.

The railroad was the Lake Erie & Western part of the Nickle Plate.

I noticed that the smaller metal bins have been removed.

I was able to chase D49 once.

It has a rather new dryer.

So this elevator has shrunk....

...while the elevator in the next west of here has become rather big considering it doesn't have any rail service. I wonder what all of the bins in the lower-left corner are for.

Given all of the small bins in the middle of this view, I'd say this elevator includes a feed mill.
