The piers for the B&O bridge across the Mad River still exist:

| Photo via Big Blue Forever! This is Tate’s Point on the east side of Dayton. This was where the B&O crossed the NYC and EL (Erie) joint trackage. The crossing was controlled by NYC. The B&O branch was known as the Wellston Sub which ran from north Dayton to Wellston, Ohio. Today the Wellston Sub is a paved greenway for bicycles and joggers, the Erie side of the double track has been removed, and the tower is long gone. |
