Gary Miller posted two photos with the comment: "This is the Scottsville, KY train depot, originally built in 1887 for the Chesapeake & Nashville Railroad. Passenger service ended in the mid-1900s, and the station officially closed in the 1970. It served as a construction storage facility for roughly 50 years and has been undergoing a complete restoration of the 2-story building with the help of several foundation grants and donations from the general public. There is a restored L&N diesel on site as well as a caboose in need of repair."
Tyler Turpin: That L and N diesel is a GE 70 ton that was Tropicana’s in New Jersey mid 1970s to early 2000s . Several preserved GP7 and 9 including major rebuilds handled the Tropicana cars from Florida to the plant .
Todd Gipson: Tyler Turpin it is also the last L&N locomotive to service Scottsville. Our next open house is July 18, 10-2. Come see us!

They are not kidding about a "complete restoration." It looks like they built the two-story part from scratch including a new foundation.
