Richard Shulby Great photos! Got to tour interior about 15 years ago. I especially love the original 6-stall stone portion with the arched stall entries.

You can't get a good look at it from the ground, so I've been wanting to do this for quite a while and finally drove through on a flyable day. I found a link to a list and map of other surviving roundhouses/turntables and remnants in the state that I'll post in the comments. [https://www.steamlocomotive.com/roundhouse/?state=WI] According to that page, the six center stalls of this one are part of the original 16 stone stalls built by Wisconsin Central in 1890. The Soo Line added the newer stalls in 1910 and 1919, when they also replaced a smaller original turntable with this one."
[Some comments also discuss the two roundhouses that are in Fond du Lac.]

In Stevens Point we found SOO RS1 number 351 and caboose number 1 working the yard and building a train for Plover, Wis. where there was a large paper mill. that made slick paper for magazine use. August 1973.
