I wonder what the history of that smokestack is.

Roger Smith posted two photos with the comment: "1894 Cleveland Lorain & Wheeling/B&O depot in Medina, OH. According to locals the Wheeling & Lake Erie had some offices inside at one time."

Given that the depot was on the B&O, this topo map made it easy to find the location. The east/west railroad was Akron, Canton & Youngstown. It became part of N&W.

Jeff Stanek posted 22 photos with the comment: "So my loving wife and I have owned this Depot in Medina Ohio for just about 12 years , it was ready for tear down . But her and I and friends brought her back from the brink and proud of it. Removed a 1/4 of the roof and that was a chore, removed old rotted wood on exterior and replaced with insulation O S B and new vital siding , small repairs on inside floor, Removed exterior deck and rebuilt. So much work , can’t think of all of it. Thank you for letting me know me post this here."

I took this in 2021. What a wonderful restoration.

I don't think this was the B&O depot. That depot is now an antique store: https://maps.app.goo.gl/6zg1G8MG6JhXSync9. I think this depot, https://maps.app.goo.gl/TdarreFGJMZX5YZM7, must have been moved north from the Akron, Canton & Youngstown tracks.
