This town still has their coaling tower, which I included near the bottom of the aerial photo.

Andrew Toppan: Charles Kuefler there are 5 coaling towers in Maine.
[But he left the other four as an exercise for the reader.]

It is nice to see that at least some forest products are still shipped by rail. That is a long 8-track railyard for such a small town. Are all of the brown areas around that town clear-cut forest land?

I.e. Xam posted two photos with the comment: "Well this was a definite first in my extensive depot hunting over the years. A sizable scale model of the real thing sitting on the lawn in front!  Oakfield ME.  July 2023  Bangor & Aroostook-1912"

This town is on the Maine Northern Railway part of New Brunswick Southern. They evidently share locomotives with the other two parts: NB Southern and Eastern Main Railways.

Obviously, someone runs a tourist train on this route and this depot is one of the stops. I have not been able to find any information on a tourist operation. So was this a special exhibition train? There are several more photos showing a train at the station with a crowd of people on the grounds.
