Herrin, IL: IC freight house and abandoned coal mine branches
Raymond Barr commented on a post: "If this is a long red brick structure within two blocks of Park Ave. along the remaining tracks, it would be the former Illinois Central freight station."
The IC Johnston City Branch used to run through town. And there were even more IC branches in the area because of the coal mines that used to be in the area.
