| Dennis DeBruler commented on Marty's post Not only is the depot still standing, but so is the yard tower. And the yard still has all of its classification tracks. |

| Gary Miller posted This depot in Danville, KY is the former Southern Railway, Kentucky Division's operational headquarters. The 1908-era building has many unique architectural elements and it served the Southern as a passenger terminal for many years. Fortunately, the city has been active in restoration efforts for the depot & nearby signal tower. The building is still used by the NS as offices and a crew station. Many railfans are familiar with this depot as a stopping point for most of the steam locomotives during the height of the Southern RR's steam program. |
Judging from a satellite image, the railyard appears to still have all of its classification tracks.
