This satellite image shows the different shade of concrete where the runway has been made longer. Note that they had to build a new route along the north and west side of the expanded airport.
An earlier image that I copied in Janurary of 2016 shows the runway was still being constructed.
Once again, the Birds-Eye View is old enough to show the original alignment of the CN/EJ&E tracks.
Since
the bridge over Airport Road is now useless, it is going to be removed as part of rehabilitating Airport Road. [
