Newton, IN: Tower: Aban/CIN/Erie vs. Aban/PC/Pennsy/Wab

(Satellite)
CIN was Chicago & Indiana Railroad. It evidently bought the Indiana part of the Erie when Conrail abandoned the western part of the Erie route as redundant with its NYC and Pennsy routes. A town never grew around this junction. The closest town is Laketon, IN. A 1963 topo map indicates the tower and a connecting track was in the northwest quadrant.
