This not only means that the
Wabash branch that ended in Stroh was carrying
cement, animals, and
grain; it was also carrying pickles. I wonder if pickles were grown in greenhouses. I was aware that Indiana did produce farming before refrigerated rail cars became common. But I don't know anything about the produce farming activity in Indiana.
