| Bart Hileman posted C&EI's "Meadowlark" southbound at Tuscola Il.
Dennis DeBruler I seem to be having a senior moment. An old aerial photo shows it is north of the tracks. And the downtown buildings on the right would be further north. The TY Tower in the left background behind the car is on the west side of town. Thus it seems to me the train is running geographically east or timecard north, not southbound. http://towns-and-nature.blogspot.com/.../tuscola-il-c... Bart Hileman You are correct on that, the copy of the photo I have reads southbound C&EIRHS posted [The photo is probably 1959.] David Forbes: This is the post 1951 wreck version of the Meadowlark.

The red rectangle indicates the C&EI depot, the blue rectangle indicates the B&O Depot, and the yellow rectangle indicates the TY Tower that you can see in the left background of the above photo past the car.

| CEIRHS posted Many years ago when the C&EI was double track through Tuscola. The C&EI depot is at the upper middle of the photo. [TY Tower is in the left middle.] |
Matt Davis posted posted two photos with the comment: "The Chicago and Eastern Illinois Railroad depot was on North Central Avenue, between Washington and Main streets. It was a very narrow brick building. The C&EI ended passenger service in 1962."
