ZAP!! ⚡ One of our line poles near the Central Avenue Pavilion took a direct hit in last night's storms, but fortunately damage was limited to a couple of signal circuit outages and blown fuses. Our hardworking Track & Signal Department volunteers are on the job getting everything ready to go for Day Out With Thomas this coming weekend.

I was watching the storm from various IRM cameras and had the tower cam on the instant this happened. I saved a video frame the instant after as this bolt started to dissipate. Quite the light show. All I could hear afterwards was one ringing wig-wag that was activated. WOW!

I'm glad to see that the shay is back in operation.
