New Turntable: (Satellite)
Tim Start posted two photos with the comment: "You don't see this every day, it may even be unique. An abandoned roundhouse with its turntable removed next to an operating yard with a newer (modern) turntable installed well into the diesel era. This is Conklin Yard, East Binghamton. Canadian Pacific put in this turntable in the late 90s or early 2000s (sources differ) to turn yard engines. Appears to be in good shape, perhaps Norfolk Southern is still using it? Maybe the yard workers didn't like to operate their diesels with long hood forward?"
