I don’t think I’ve ever seen the water tank in a photo here.
Michael Buckley Depot is still there turned it into small museum open on weekends . I was born in 1950 and from Chillicothe and don’t remember the water tower there.

Another photo from my newly acquired lot, the Rock Island depot in Chillicothe IL. Dated 4/83
David Jordan: The track had been out of service between Peoria and Henry from October 1, 1981 to about Spring 1987 when Iowa Interstate work trains began running the line to support restoration. First revenue run was on June 22, 1987. So that is why the track looks long dormant in this scene.

Rock Island Depot at Chillicothe, IL on July 10, 1996. By this time, Iowa Interstate was operating this segment of the Rock Island.

Trenton Dominy: This line is the Iowa interstate branch to Peoria Illinois it has a daily local out of Bureau Illinois.
