1938 Aerial Photo from ILHAP

The NKP(Clover Leaf ) had a wye southwest of town and a branch that went north along the east side of town. The access road north of Donnellson Ave appears to have followed the abandoned route of that branch. In the 1938 photo, you can see tailings between the branch and Bearcat Creek. To the west of the branch near Panama Lake you see a really tall building judging from the shadow. West of the tailings, you can see a cluster of some lower buildings.
