Millington, IL: CB&Q Depot

These are two of eleven detailed shots posted by Stuart Pearson with the comment "This WAS the Millington, IL Depot on a Branch Line of the CB&Q. It was torn down in the late 1960's." This was on the Ottawa, Oswego & Fox River Valley branch of the CB&Q.

The Illinois Midland interchanged with CB&Q here and went south to Newark, IL.

I guess that the first bigger building just southwest of the main road's crossing is a grain elevator because of its relatively pronounced shadow. And I think the next building southwest along the tracks was the depot. One of the longer buildings between Railroad Street and the tracks may have been a freight house.
