This street view not only confirmed that they also handle incoming truck loads of grain, beans are being loaded at the elevator using a trackmobile and hoppers are being transloaded using an end-cab switcher.

It appears the transloading is going from train to barges. I see a worker on a barge to the left of the stop sign controlling the spout.

Richard Howard posted ADM - Creve Coeur Dean Cunningham: I remember being the Assistant Engineer for the P&PU in the 1960's when ADM was constructing this grain elevator. It still looks good!! |
