Max Eddy posted Train tracks behind the Nabisco Shredded Wheat Plant at 10th St. and Rainbow Blvd/Buffalo Ave. Photo courtesy of a Gentleman who wishes to remain anonymous. Brett Stewart: Still looks like this today minus the trains and Nabisco sign. Philip James Jarosz: The tracks went all the way to Falls Street. Tracks on either side of Buffalo Avenue. Somewhere there is a map of the railroad that ran through the City and the rail yards on Depot and South Avenue an d through Niagara University, Stauffer Chemical and down the escarpment by Lewiston Hill. Pettigrew Arriel shared Albert Bosley: I can smell this picture |
Max commented on his post At the end, the silos had Triscuit painted on them. That was the only product made there at that point. Shredded Wheat and Spoon Size production had been moved. The posted photo shows Triscuit too. Photo origin unknown [The production of Triscuits was moved to the Nabisco plant in Napverville, IL.] |
