Colebrookdale Railroad - The Secret Valley Line posted four photos with the comment:
The "flying" so often figuratively ascribed to the passenger locomotives of the last century finds a literal meaning today as 5288 takes to the air, landing on a many-wheeled chariot for her grand journey to Pennsylvania. Godspeed, 5288!  Support her with a donation to

Travis Gordon: The engine is being moved from the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum in Chattanooga, TN. to the Colebrookdale RR.
Andrew Holt: Being that is coming from a museum is it going to run or sit there as a show peace?
Bill Didden: Andrew Holt First as a show piece and eventually restored to service.

Coalbrookdale is the tourist railroad, and Eastern Berks Gateway handles the freight.

According to a 1957 topo map, this route was a former Reading Railroad route.

The colonial iron industry started in the Schuylkill River Valley in 1716, and it prospered until the end of the revolutionary war. [ColebrookdaleRailroad_iron]

Once again, I've come across a tourist railroad that doesn't provide a map of its train rides. I don't have enough time to try to figure it out.

The whole town appears to be somewhat of a museum.

Near Pottsgrove Manor is the site of the construction of the world's first iron railroad bridge. Coalbrook Dale Furnace at Boyertown was Pennsylvania's first blast furnace. It was founded by Thomas Rutter in 1720. [ColebrookdaleRailroad_corridor] (The "iron" reference says the furnace was founded in 1716.)
