Dennis DeBruler commented on Tim's post It is evidently still standing along with a static display of a caboose. https://goo.gl/maps/YHSDqVfko4T9wmV96 [The caboose is a recent addition because it is not in the satellite map.] |
Track side. The railroad right-of-way is now the Springville Rail Trail.
Springville Depot
posted four photos with the comment: "Springville Depot was built in 1910 and is on the National, State & Local & Historic registries. Located in Springville, NY. Book a stay at the Inn which is located in the rear of the building where the luggage and parcels passed through years ago! The rails have been replaced by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy. Check out our site.

The Buffalo Rochester and Pittsburgh Railway Company updated A postcard view of Springville Depot circa 1925. This was once attached to a dining car menu which could be detached, filled out and handed to the waiter, who would promptly place a stamp on it, and deliver it to the Railway Post Office car on the head end of the train. That’s efficient service! |
It looks like it used to have a caboose display.
The former-B&O is now the Springville Rail Trail.
Tik-Tok's profile format may be good for solo dancers, but it sucks for depot views.
Springville is between Buffalo and Ashford.
The B&O route is abandoned because the BPRR used the former Pennsy route between Machias and Buffalo.
