Macoupin C: Greenridge, IL: Union Fuel #6, Ridge/Greenridge Coal Mine

Town: (Satellite, a really good job of land reclamation.)

Greenridge Coal Mine at Greenridge, Illinois.
Located between Girard and Nilwood, just north of where the C&NW bridge crossed Route 4, the IT, and GM&O railroads.
 At one time Greenridge was a town of about 300 people and is where the founder of JBL speakers, James B. Lansing was born. Only thing left now in the area is Greenridge Road.

It looks like all of the houses had been stripped to their foundation by 1939.
