Anne Thomas: It's a restaurant now; I ate there a few years ago; the food was wonderful.
Richard Palmer: That [Anges] was a bad one. it even uncovered the old roadbed of the first rail of the old mainline. There was a rainstorm thru the Patapsco valley from Frederick down which changed everything in 1868, 21 inches of rain in an hour which did a lot more damage than any hurricane that hit Maryland since the Europeans first came her in mid 1500's, before the English there were spanish explorers and then came French trappers years before the English settled here in a Catholic lrish colony of Lord Baltimore.

RE Pearce posted three photos with the comment: "In the 1990s, this B&O station was donated to the Town of Sykesville, sparking revitalization. It was restored and repurposed as Baldwin's Station restaurant (named after the architect), opening in the early 2000s as a dining spot with a railroad theme. Diners could watch CSX freight trains rumble by on the still-active Old Main Line, which suffered further damage from Hurricane Agnes in 1972 but was repaired. The restaurant became a local favorite, even inspiring a popular model railroad kit. In June 2020, new owners renamed it Sykesville Station Restaurant and Bar, emphasizing its history with features like "$1 Whistle Stop Shooters" served when trains pass. It was designated a state historic building and is part of the Sykesville Historic District."

Thomas Dorman: Designed for the B&O by Baltimore architect E. Francis Baldwin, built 1884.

Keith L. Merritt: Also been a scene from a famous movie filmed of the actors dining at the outside dining area close to the tracks. It's up to you to name the movie and at least one of the actors.
