Superior, WI: Lost/"A" Grain Elevator

(Satellite, it is now an oil pipeline dock.)

Note that there was also an "A" grain elevator in Duluth; and, as of this month, Jun 2023, it started loading Salties again. The "M" grain elevator complex on the left is still operational.

This was one of several big grain elevators in Superior, WI.

Association for Great Lakes Maritime History posted
An image from a glass plate negative of the freighters Delaware and North Sea at Superior, Wis., circa 1912 (Image Source: University of Wisconsin Madison Digital Collection and the Kenneth E. Thro Collection of the University of Wisconsin Superior).
According to the collection notes, the Delaware is in the foreground, alongside a flour mill, while the North Sea is astern of it in the background. Some type of barge is alongside Elevator A on the left. The image was produced by photographer Hugh McKenzie (1879-1957).
[The description continues with a history of the freighters.]

[Later, Elevator "A" was Elevator "O". Now, it is an oil pipeline dock.]

It looks like Northern Pacific controled rail service to the East End grain elevators.

This must be the brick building that David Schauer mentioned in this comment. It looks like they replaced the roof and the smokestack is gone, but otherwise, it is intact. I think the Elevator "M" in the photo was here.
