Milltown, IN: Abandoned Limestone Quarry Tipple

Matt Morton posted five photos with the comment: "We came across this one day on a canoe trip in Milltown, Indiana off IN-64 anyone know what it used to be?"
Steve Yeary: This had to do with the massive mining operation immediately adjacent to the site.
They made concrete materials in the late 1800's & again for WWI, as I recall.
There are over 50 acres of underground honeycomb caverns there. It is Amazing to me!
I believe these structures were used to load trucks with the finished product...like hoppers.
[There are some comments about a natural cave and that it is haunted.
