| Aug 11, 2026: Wesley Peters posted Sad News out of Dickinson, ND. Yesterday Woody's Feed & Grain was largely destroyed by a fire that started on the western side of the complex. No cause for the fire has been released as of this post. As of last evening just the partially burned and collapsed remains of the annex are still standing. Early History- Farmers Grain Co. Headhouse built in 1908. 34,000-bushel capacity. Annex built before 1957 (exact year unknown). Bushel capacity unknown. False-front headhouse built in unknown year. Bushel capacity unknown. This landmark will be greatly missed. Glad I got a photo of it when I went through Dickinson in July 2024. Photographed on 7/13/2024. Photos courtesy of Wesley Peters. |
The railroad was the Northern Pacific, and it is still BNSF. [rail.guide]
