Luverne, ND: Lost Wood Grain Elevtors

(Satellite)

The new elevator a few miles east in Pillsbury, ND, has a loop of track so it can load unit trains. That elevator probably made this one obsolete.

Northwest Complex- Farmers Co-op Elevator Co. False-front headhouse built in unknown year, Jacobson Construction Co. Bushel capacity unknown. False-front annex built in 1978, Hogenson Construction Co. Bushel capacity unknown. West annex built in unknown year. Bushel capacity unknown.
Southeast Complex- Annex built before 1963 (exact year unknown). Bushel capacity unknown.
Both complexes were demolished in July 2025.

The railroad was the Great Northern. The route is still owned by BNSF.
