This is a post card picture of the 1911 Chicago & Alton Railroad station at Lincoln, Illinois.

The depot used to have a caboose.

Note the four crossing gates and all of the fencing. That is America's idea of high-speed trains: 110mph instead of 79mph.

Note the fence and the depot on the left side. The sign on the end of the freight house says Gulf Mobile & Ohio Freight House. Another of his photos is a closeup of this sign.

They had to do some extensive renovation.
