Chris Goepel: This foundation along First Street is all that remains of the IC depot at Havana. Gary Petty: Yes it was. Hasn’t been to long ago since taken down. I remember early 80 last ic train go to Havana, think they had a turbine for power plant. Jeff Heinie: I have pictures of the last IC train that left Havana. They had the reactor for the Clinton nuclear power plant. |

Bunny Adams posted I believe there was a post recently about Havana Illinois I found this picture in Illinois Central magazine January 1948 I think the question was was there any pictures of the depot.
Havana, Western end of the hack line! I have searched for a picture of the depot in Hallsville for years. Hallsville was the first town west of Clinton on the Hack. |
It appears the
Chicago, Havana and Western never got across the Illinois River so that this, in fact, was the western terminus.
