Thanks Mike Broshears for digging up this awesome photo. You are looking at Cilco power in East Peoria where the Walmart is. They had a loop track to unload coal. In the upper right the ITS yard and TPW bridge.David Jordan added:
Looks like high water conditions. Tower on RI Peoria depot at bottom of photo would date this shot no later than 1939. CILCO plant opened in 1924. The smokestacks to the right of the Rock Island Depot is CILCO's Liberty St. plant. It operated from 1889 to 1971.
