Water Tower: (Satellite, south of the tracks and about halfway between the crossing and Main Street.)
Depot: (Satellite)Caboose: (Satellite, the caboose, and roads, have been moved since the 2012 street view below.)
A caboose has also been preserved.
NC&StL = Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis
Tennessee Railroad History posted The water tower in McKenzie. Alan J Boyance I believe it is on the NC&StL East of the depot. Jamie Verner Summers The depot and platform was very different when the old depot was in use. L&N had a platform that would have been on the man's left across the tracks. On the State archives pictures website shows the tower and shot of the station area taken looking south. I do not have the exact web site but TN State Library will get you there. |

The NW-SE route was originally the NC&StL route. CSX uses that route and the SW L&N route today. The NE L&N route has been abandoned.
I didn't need an aerial photo to find the depot, but I got one to see if I could find the water tower. Since it was east of the depot, I think it might be one of the smudges about a block east of the depot. The obvious water tower about two blocks east looks too tall. It is probably a city water supply tower. Especially since there is a water plant just across the tracks from it.
