At 8:50am near Sloan Street in Peoria Illinois TZPR 43/1352/1351 takes over the IAIS DAVPE-05 for the rest of the trip to Mosaic near Bartonville Illinois.
Chris Topher Didn't realize they interchanged at Limit Yard like the coalies used to... nice!
Harold J. Krewer Think the main reason for doing this at Limit Yard is the train would be staying on the west side of the river, no reason to cross the bridge.
It is hard to find information on yards. So I collect yard information one tidbit at a time. These comments teach us that Limit Yard is the three tracks that stretch northish of Sloan Street.
The train is headed to Mosaic Crop Nutrition, which appears to be a barge to rail transloading facility for fertilizer. I assume the "coalies" would have been going to Edwards Station. Are we using the pass tense with the power station because another railroad got the contract or because the station has been closed?
