The plant shutdown Apr 1, 2022, and demolition is expected to happen over the next two years. This plant did not have rail service. As one can see in the following satellite image, it received its coal from barges.

gem] The Pennsylvania coal must have been rather free of toxic materials because the gem article doesn't list annual toxic materials in the coal waste like it did for the
Sherco Coal Plant. It lists only 180 lb. of mercury emissions in 2005.
