It is owned by Oklahoma Gas and Electric.

  • Gross generating capacity (operating): 948 MW
    • Unit 10: Natural gas gas turbine, 61 MW (start-up in 2001)
    • Unit ST7: Natural gas and fuel oil steam turbine, 220 MW (start-up in 1963)
    • Unit 9: Natural gas gas turbine, 61 MW (start-up in 2001)
    • Unit 8: Natural gas steam turbine, 443 MW (start-up in 1969)
    • Unit 6: Natural gas and fuel oil steam turbine, 163 MW (start-up in 1958)

Aj Green posted two photos with the comment: "One of my favorite plants I worked at.  OG&E Horseshoe Lake, just outside Oklahoma City, I worked on the first combined cycle unit in the world. Thought that was awesome.  Did a generator rewind and all the valves."
