113 jobs to be cut in Ashland plant closure
This is interesting since the economy currently seems strong. I've seen more cranes in the past couple of years than I have ever seen before. Norfolk Southern's customer base is also growing.
Steve Pajak commented on a posting: "I wonder if it has to do with emissions and environmental issues."
They won't restart the melt facility, just the rolling mill. They will source steel billets from some eastern locations that they already own.
